Is there any way to stop the DVR from putting up the notification that commercials are being skipped? I recorded the Hobbit trilogy the other day and literally every 3-5 minutes here come the commercials. Without the notification I would have been fine but with it it messes with my concentration.
In your client app: Settings > Playback > Commercial Skipping. Personally, I always set mine to “Manual”.
I'm either confused or not making it clear what I need.
When the DVR skips a commercial up in the right corner of the screen it puts a white block up that says "skipping commercial". I'm trying to keep that from showing.
There is no way. Commercial indexing isnt perfect, so skipping without any kind of notification can feel real bad sometimes. So that’s sort of the background on that.
That being said I can understand not wanting it in your scenario. We’ll look into it.

Perhaps an option to "show every skip" or "Single notice at start of play" would be good (at least one notice at start, to know it is in effect if set to skip)?
