Community Board Ops

If you're going to limit topics, either tell me at the end of my last topic for the day or before I write the next one. After I've written it is a bad time to tell me I can't create it.

Be specific - the limit is 3 new topics your first 24 hours, not the first 'day'. Day means a calendar day. I was irritated that I had to wait until 10:18 this morning to post this topic.

As a new user I have a lot of questions and haven't had a lot of success searching for answers so I need to ask. I have a lot of server-based DVR experience but just not with Channels.

All your posts are basically complaints that something is not the way you want it. Not really a question or issue.
This should be like this, that should do this when i do that...etc
Your posts come across a bit rude and demanding, and intitled sounding.

If anything, a few are vague statements that imply a feature request.

Channels DVR is well established and mature in most things.

This is also a community form,(not a development form) where users of the product can casually advice other users to solutions to issues or give suggestions.

If you have a specific issue, or problem getting something setup with CDVR, posting a detailed description of the issue, and submitting diagnostic logs to the devs is the main way to get support.

My assumption is that there are simple solutions to most of the questions I have and that another user might be able to help.

I have lots of DVR user experience and programming experience and I have a good idea of how these things SHOULD work. Channels falls short in some areas but has some great features. It may be somewhat mature, but it is missing some basic DVR functions.
