Some of my background programs, like Carbonite, are slowing or crashing. Carbonite tech support says that comskip.exe is using too high a percentage of CPU. Do they know what they're talking about? If so, ideas to reduce comskip CPU usage?
What type of system/cpu are you running Channels on?

Before I upgraded my server I was using a Core i5-3570. CPU usage would be high when comskip was running (I only used 1 core as well). I didn't notice any other issues like you are experiencing though. I also run Blue Iris (camera DVR) on the same PC and didn't notice any issues even when the CPU load was higher.
