I set detect commercials and I see they are detected in web interface. However in comskip log directory there are no comskip.ini nor video.ffsplit file just the preview jpg files.
There are no preview jpg files in the comskip log directories.
The comskip log directories are in the Logs/comskip/FileID# folders

Anyway problem seems to be slowly fixing itself. That being said it seems for me that manually editing commercials and saving does not regenerate video.* files - maybe it should?
Yes, those preview-#seconds.jpg images are generated by Channels DVR when you use Channels DVR Edit Commercials. They are not created by comskip.
The video.* files are only created when comskip runs. Not when editing commercials. Editing Commercials does not run comskip, it only changes the ad marker times.
If you have Channels DVR set to create EDL files next to recordings
then editing commercials will update those EDL files with new ad markers.
