It appears the commercial detection is running on my LaCie, but it doesn’t appear to translate to the app…marker only at 15 minute intervals and wont skip when double-clicking the siri remote (or logitech).
It also appears that it has been unable to install the latest version of the DVR engine. I believe it is from 11-23, but says “up to date” when I check for updates.

Ok, run the following command:
sudo chown -R rainbow:users /media/internal_6/rainbow/dvr-5d47a34/data
Then click “check for update” and watch the log. It should auto-update successfully.
I ran the command last night, and it allowed the update to download. It seams to have stalled at “Waiting to upgrade to 2017.01.05.2103…”

Just tried it…after diskcheck it wouldn’t allow me to enable the DVR. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled v1.0.9, and all appears to be running correctly now with today’s version of the engine.
Well....maybe not. All passes, shows, and recordings are missing, and all I can access is the settings page. 
Are you able to disable and enable DVR now?
We will need to restore your data from backups. Can you run “sudo mount | grep dvr” and send output?
I was able to disable and enable.

Cool. You need to disable so it’s not running, then replace recorder.db and settings.db in this folder:
/media/internal_6/rainbow/dvr-4d32b86/data
Using files from:
/shares/Recordings/Backups
Pick a backup dir from before the reset.
