With the awesome addition of client settings profiles, it made me start thinking about comskip. For the most part comskip works OK for me. The issues come when I record movies on a local sub channel. They are loaded with 5 minute informercials from Fonze trying to sell me a reverse mortgage or a walk in tub. I know I can change the settings for comskip but I don't want to change it for just one channel. If I do it will screw up another pass.
It would be awesome to have the capability to do a comskip profile and have it tied to an advanced pass or be able to select it in the show itself. I am envisioning a page where the default values are listed for comskip and you can edit each one, then save it as a profile.
This would be amazing to be able to "dial in" the comskip settings for a show and then re-run comskip over and over until you get it just right, then set it and forget it. You can already view why the cuts happened in the edit commercials page. Take that info and make adjustments, rinse and repeat until you get it just right.
