Confirming DirecTV Stream Entertainment pkg not compatible with TVE *UPDATED - working when choosing DirecTV vs Stream

Hello,

Just confirming that the newer DirecTV Entertainment Pkg, about $35, in not compatible with TVE. I noticed an error when trying to add to channels as a source. At first, I thought it was an authentication issue, but then I dug and determined it's just not offered in that pkg. Just confirming with anyone that may have a different experience.

I have it connected to Channels DVR TVE for several weeks now. During the trial period, I had the Movie option and those channels also were connecting. I didn't have any problems at all getting it to connect with Channels. I am using the Channels pre-released version on my windows server.

Well, that's interesting. You have the newer $35 pkg? I think they call them "Genre Packs", but they are stand-alone products.

If so, that's really good news.

BTW, I'm running 4/1/25 pre-release. Here is the error I get when trying to add: authn: POST: https://sp.auth.adobe.com/adobe-services/session: 401: "Data not found".

Tried on Edge and Chrome.

I found that in order to get the Genre package to authenticate I had to choose to use DirecTv vs DirecTv Stream.

I just stumbled on that solution seconds ago. Thank you very much for the reply. That DirecTV was staring at me for days. I was sure I needed to choose Stream!

Apparently, I did choose Directv without the Stream by sheer luck. Not sure that the Stream entry was even available when I added my TVE connection. At any rate maybe that clears up why some are having problems.

Cant get mine to work, i have the disney and entertainment addon and get this message

Try updating to the latest pre-release version. It was fixed 18 days ago

So I got mine with the Entertainment package to work after installing the pre-release server, but a few odd things:

1- Some channels are missing such as Comedy Central, MSNOW, and I have to check what else. Are they not included in TVE service maybe?

2 - I have a LOT of weird channels, like 10 Adult Swim channels. I'm guessing they're internet channels that come along with the package??

I haven't tried using just Directv but from above it sounds like that path was fixed in the latest DVR server update?

Edit: Just found that Comedy Central and NBC-ish channels are no longer in TVE. Guess I'll try the streamlines thingy.

Those channels are DRM so channels can not play them.
