I’ve noticed this happening pretty frequently lately, managed to catch it a bit ago on the Beta app so I submitted a log. After about 20 minutes of live TV watching, the image will freeze, stutter a bit for about 20 seconds, then display the Connection Lost message. Choosing the same channel starts up again and will play again for about 20 minutes.
I know there’s an tvOS 11.0 bug, not sure if this is it, hopefully the log helps.

Try turning off the “Tuner Sharing” option on the Settings tab.
Also looks like your DVR machine has two IPs… if it’s plugged in then I would recommend turning off the WiFi.
Started with turning off the WiFi, had the issue come up again this morning. Submitted another log.
Trying without Tuner Sharing now. Haven’t had any issues with it since it’s launch so hoping there’s a solution that will allow Tuner Sharing to work if it ends up being the issue.

Without Tuner Sharing, got an hour without any issues. Switched back to Tuner Sharing and had issue again. Same entries in the log:

I recently updated to macOS 10.13 and reset my energy settings. I’m going to try for the next few hours with Tuner Sharing on but prevent my DVR computer from sleeping.
I’ve just had this starting recently. Had to turn tuner sharing off.
I’ve had better luck recently by turning setting the Energy Saver settings on my Mac to “Prevent computer from sleeping automatically” and not “Put hard disks to sleep when possible”.
Every time the Connection Lost message would show up before changing the settings, this would be posted in the log:

Hoping something can be adjusted in the wake-helper that will keep the connection alive when watching live TV. DVR recordings worked fine when the Mac was allowed to sleep.

I have only just recently had this problem. Have always had hd go to sleep/computer sleep where possible. And it didn’t previously appear to upset live tv. Aman did sort out my wake helper which was corrupted.
