Can someone tell me what causes this message and what I can do to stop it.
If recording TVE interrupts in internet connection.
Saturated network.
HD cannot keep up with IO.
Thanks @Edwin_Perez.This happens mostly on TVE recordings.
Is it possible that the ISP that is providing the internet service, is interrupting the connection that frequently?
Also, What would cause network saturation?
Do I need to upgrade my internet service with a faster line?
The main thing is your download stream .... What is it ?
I meant your ISP download speed.
Sometimes the CDN (Content Delivery Network) server supplying you the TVE stream has issues.
It could be anything. Your dvr server, your networking, your ISP, the Internet connection path to the CDN server, the CDN server, a DNS server issue, etc.
Some TVE channels experience these interruptions more than others.
You can get a better idea by viewing the dvr log data for the time when the disconnect happened or submitting diagnostics from the dvr server.
I used the speed test on broadbandnow.com.
These are the stats:
Upload: 14.87Mb/s
Download: 26.99Mb/s
Latency: 69msec
Jitter: 440msec
Those speeds aren't exactly rocket fast for current day, but should be okay for a few TVE recordings simultaneously. That jitter is pretty bad, though, which can have a significant impact on streaming quality. Is there some kind of wireless connection somewhere between your DVR server and the Internet?
You are right about no rocket speed. I'm planning to contact my ISP about that.
No. All my connections are internet cable connections to a switch.
What kind of drive are you using with your shield ?
I have an external Seagate 5 TB One Touch drive connected to a powered usb hub.
