Continued Issues with Local Channels - TVE - Spectrum

I searched and only found one thread with this error, but it was old and didn't have a resolution.

I just signed back up to see if the experience with local channels was any better and I'm still having issues.

ABC, Fox, and CBS are showing up. None of the 3 were working yesterday and only Fox is working today. This is what I'm seeing in the logs.

Sidenote, is anyone on Spectrum getting NBC, and also are there any alternatives to getting local channels outside of TVE?

Usually due to ad blocker. Go to Support -> Troubleshooting and it may tell you more.

I got tired of fighting tve stuff last year. Not the cheapest to setup but... I use Spectrum App on used ATV's that feed into LinkPi encoder for all my spectrum channels. This is all setup and fed into Channels using ah4c.

Not to belabor the obvious but have you tried an HDHomeRun box with an indoor or outdoor antenna yet? I started with TVE for locals too, and switched to OTA antenna later on. The picture and sound quality is much better, at least in my area, for all of the major channels.

Great Catch @Fofer on the "LOCAL" part of the question...
With good OTA reception your solution is definitely the cheapest/best if the OP is only concerned with the local channels.

I also am running an hdhomerun with antenna for locals.
I was stuck on my history/frustration of more and more tve feeds being shut down or stop working on and off awhile back and just threw in the towel on tve.

I will say at least locally I believe our spectrum still allows cable cards so if that is the case for the OP then a used HDHomerun Prime could still be an option also. (Would NOT be my choice ever but...)
With some major possible issues/concerns...

  • You have to be willing to deal with the frustration of working with spectrum to get it enabled.
  • Various channels (possibly even locals that worked yesterday can be suddenly set to not allow recording/viewing on them.
  • Understanding that at any moment they can change over to a complete IP solution like most seem to be doing over the last few years making it useless.
