I've noticed under Settings that shows that I delete just after they're recorded are still undergoing commercial detection. I could see a scenario where the show may be restored so why not detect commercials anyway, but even after emptying the trash the commercial detection continues. Seems like it would be a better use of resources to stop the detection if a show is deleted. And it would be more efficient if detection could start for a different show, one that's still in the Library.

I agree, it would be more efficient if the running comskip process was stopped when the corresponding recording is permanently deleted.
