Just noticed this. Was recording a programme today but wanted to update the DVR. So stopped the recording and the status page changed from recording to detecting commercials as expected. So rather than wait for com skip I decided to delete the recorded file. I expected com skip to stop immediately and the file to be deleted. It did not. I killed it from SSH and then the file was deleted and the DVR updated itself.
I would expect comskip to be terminated by the DVR if a file is deleted by the user.
