Continuous Streams TV Everywhere

Are there any continuous stream limits when using TV Everywhere with Providers? I am using DirecTV Stream....

I can't say I have. I know the limitations are not the same as the direct app for streaming. I know others have posted on here that they didn't see the limitation either. I don't have DirecTV though.

I don't don't think it is the same as the direct app either... I am wanting to share my log in credentials with my brother should he subscribe to channels dvr... He has a large family with lots of TVs! Thank You for your input...

I have DirecTV (satellite) and use my credentials for TVE, which is my main source for linear TV in Channels DVR.

With the DirecTV boxes, I am limited by the 2 tuners but with TVE I can record many TVE channels at once in Channels.

However, I have never tried to log in from more than one location and watch/record the same channels at the same time.

I am interested to see if somebody will be able to answer this.

Edit: I can add that my passes in Channels include padding before and after the scheduled times. So when 2 shows record back to back from the same channel, there is a short period of time (3 minutes) when the same channel is being recording twice with the same credentials. That works fine. So maybe that won't be an issue for your situation but I can't say for a fact.

Theoretically you should not experience stream limit with TVE. With Cable/Satalite/App providers the content is being filtered through thrir server. With TVE you are connecting directly to each station. FOX doesnt know your also logged into TBS and History at the same time

However if using TVE from multiple IP could Theoretically through a red flag.

I pay for Philo but only use the credentials for TVE and my parents use the Philo app in a different city. No issues.

Remember that your brother can try Channels DVR for 30 days before he decides whether he wants to subscribe or not.

So you have a full month to really test it and see how it works in this situation.

thanks for your input... btw... as I wrote, I have DirecTV Stream and use the app on my roku and fire TV... works great and NO box fees! The lineup is just as good and I use on channels dvr as well in and out of my network ... you are allowed up to 20 simultaneous streams including 3 outside of your network on the DirecTV Stream App... of course TVE doesn't count and works great outside of my network. Also, you can change your home network up to 4 times a year....
