Copy or restore a backup from the database folder

I cannot add YTTV and want to add it by restoring a backup from 5 days ago before i deleted it as a source.

  1. will that work, and
  2. how do i do it?

Don’t know if it will work but you could try. On a web browser go to http://ip.address.of.server/restore
Pick a backup from there. You should probably stop the server first by unchecking the box under settings, general, basic settings, server enabled.

I am referring to the backup in the database folder in the channels dvr directory

Yes you drill down to the location of the backup using the 3 dots.

Are file for the data and recordings separate and named differently or do i have to live with the recording from the backup?

I don’t know. If restoring to the older backup doesn’t work you can just restore again to the most recent backup.

Did you try fixing YouTube by going through the support, troubleshooting tabs in the web ui? Id start there before trying backups. You may just need to update chrome or something simple.
