Copying managed channel lineup from one cableCARD to another?

Just being lazy here...

I have had my Channels DVR setup with a single cableCARD for the first several months as a trial. I'm just now setting up the second one (and decommissioning my TiVo).

When I set up the first CableCARD, I painstakingly went through the channel lineup and hid all the channels I did not want to see in the Channels guide (SD channels, duplicates, etc.). I'd like to not have to do that again for the second one. Is there a way to copy my channel lineup preferences to the second tuner?

Indeed there is small tool that does exactly that:

The specific took you want is HDHRUtil-Tuner-channelSettingDuplicate

(I found this tool invaluable for keeping multiple Primes synced when background scans messed with my lineups.)

Thank you. As I look at this, it appears to be managing the HDHR settings. However, the "Manage Lineup" process that I did was actually in the Channels DVR Server. This is on /admin/settings in the "Basic Setup" section, where it says "2 sources found" below appear my two cableCARD tuners. Under the gear icon for each tuner, there's a "Manage Lineup" option where you can "heart" or "block" channels. I haven't actually done anything in the HDHR's settings.

Arte these settings one and the same? If so, I need to learn how to load and run this package...

Yes, the settings are the same; changes made in the DVR web UI are changed on the device itself.

It's not really a "package", just a simple Python script that reads one tuner's channels, and then sets the same status of those channel on a different tuner.

Ah cool. I assume then I can run it on a Mac on the same network as the two HDHRs and just feed it the two IP addresses? Any recommendations for a python interpreter for MacOS?

Basically, yes. The script has its documentation within it. Just read through the script.

Unnecessary, as there is one as part of the base install.
