Since yesterday, I have been experiencing a crackling/hissing/popping sound while watching my local ABC channel, specifically when watching Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune. It’s only happening on this channel - others seem fine. I am using Channels 10.3.2031 on SHIELD and I also tried it on Android, but experienced the same thing. I have rebooted and also tried turning off Surround Sound in the settings.
Any ideas on steps to try for troubleshooting?
Try playing the video in vlc and see if it has the same problem. Its probably on the source. You can also try the HDHR app and see if it has the same issue as well.
Thanks for the reply. You're right -- seems to be at the source. Same thing in the HDHR app, VLC, and in recordings, but only with one channel. Is this something I'd need to call Verizon Fios about? I spoke to a neighbor on cable who is not reporting any distortion.
