Custom Channel Setup timeout errors

Working on a Linux setup. This is my first setup so the problem may be obvious to others.

I have Channels DVR setup on Linux machine

I am trying to simply enter the M3U URL provided by a IPTV trial just to see how the DVR function performs.

The problem is, whenever I try to add a source, I enter the settings and the M3U but I get an error " failed to load m3u: timeout while fetching m3u: context deadline exceeded (Client.Timeout or context cancellation while reading body)"

This obviously appears that the server is not responding quick enough, but I have tried at least 3 different ones.

I have tried the 3 different stream format and checked the URL string carefully.

Probably a network setup issue on your Linux machine

Is it a GUI install? Can you try the URL in a browser

Or with curl

IIRC it's a 12 second timeout

I suspect it was a problem with the url string or server. I have been able to get a few playlists to populate Guide and play.

I am having a bunch of other problems and my experimentation continues so I am sure I will have a pile of other novice questions.
