Hi guys, new to Channels, but very impressed so far. Sorry if I've missed it, but can you add custom libraries e.g. Home Movies? and is there a way to prevent meta data searching on these custom libraries?
This is not yet supported.
You can add them under "Local Content":
However, no, it will try to match them to metadata from Gracenotes and/or TMDB (if you put it under Movies) and you cannot YET add your own metadata (feature is coming). That said, if you give your files names that tell you what they are and don't mind them having a generic image, there is no reason they cannot show up and be streamed through Channels (unless they are in a format it doesn't understand yet).
Thanks both for your replies. It would be great to be able to add a custom library for home movies etc and for it provide thumbnail in the absence of a metadata match, can I say like Plex..
