Deeplinks for apps

Does anyone have a working deeplink to open BBC iPlayer channels e.g. BBC One / BBC Two, etc? To open the specific channel directly on the Apple TV?

I have tried the advised links shown on this post: Freeview Deeplink (UK)

Such as:

bbciplayer://channels/bbc_one
or
bbciplayer://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/mobile/channels/bbc_one

But neither seem to open the specific channel, they only open the BBC iPlayer app (not the channel itself).

Also wondering if there are any methods to get these links for the various other apps.

Any help appreciated!

You would need to look inside the .apk at the xml manifest

@tmm1 Even for getting the tvOS deeplink? That is my goal - sorry should have specified that this is for getting it to open on Apple TV

Not seeing anything relating to /channels/ path in the manifest - pretty stuck.
I have two other apps that can do it and still work, but nothing I try seems to get me to launch the actual channel inside iPlayer app :frowning:

I’ve found that not all apps support deeplinking and BBC iPlayer may very well be one that doesn’t, unfortunately.

It definitely works as I have two other apps which both can launch the exact channel in BBC iPlayer - so theres got to be a way (apps are "TV Launcher" and "What's on TV!")

I just cant figure it out, nothing seems to work for me

Sometimes you can see it in Console.app via streaming Apple TV logs

Not seeing much - any tip on what I should look for?
