I see constant frame dropping using the default driver with 1080i50 content.
It's solid on legacy driver, but the pip experience is not as smooth with video and audio black outs going in and out of pip
Any ideas why default is not coping with these streams?
You can see in the video that as the stream moves to pfs source @ 25fps the frame drops stop and then as it goes back into true interlace it starts again

Does it happen with both live and recorded?
This was live, I just tested a recording and at the same point when it goes from FPS estimated 25.000 to 50.000 it starts to drop frames on the recording as it did when live
When it goes back to 25.000 mid stream the frame drops stop
Is there any difference if the Match Frame Rate option in the tvOS settings is enabled/disabled?
I'll check, but I have that enabled and tvos set to 50p, there is no frame rate switching happening that I'm sure of as my TV blacks out when that happens which this isn't
