Just curious if someone can explain the Deinterlacer settings. Blend versus Linear: Is one better than the other, and why? Thanks in advance!

If you click on the setting in the Channels app it explains which one is preferred.
The settings on the DVR are the same, but they only apply to the Web Player
Can you tell me about the hardware deinterlcer setting in the web app? I just migrated to a DS218+ and Iām not sure whether to use blend or hardware and cannot find any documentation on the hardware option. Thanks!

Some cpu models offer a hardware deinterlacing option. It is usually faster and better quality than linear or blend.
