Deleting a Show No Longer Removes It from the View

As of the last update (4.9.2) deleting a show no longer removes it from the view. If i go "Home" and back into the app it seems to force a refresh and the show is removed

I've been experiencing the same thing on my Shield, server on a Synology NAS.

This is totally anecdotal, but the Android/Google TV app on various devices has been not updating the episode numbers, watched recent, and basically almost all updates to TV shows on a consistent basis. It might work find for a few days, or it might only work for a few hours. Either way, the only way for me to resolve it is to force crash the app and reopen to get a refresh from the server. It's kind of like for TV Shows it is not talking back to the server and sync'ing things right. And again, anecdotally, it seems to be happening more frequently recently.

Can you submit diagnostics when this starts happening

Ive checked and there's no errors in the log but can certainly submit. This happens accross multiple devices, onn4k, google streamer, tcl tv, and happens every time.
Submiited diagnostics after deleting world news tonight

As a side note although it continues to display in the UI, it does show its been moved to "trash"

I was about to post on exactly this problem when I saw a thread was already started, so let me add that I am also experiencing this issue, starting 5-6 days ago. Channnels DVR server running on Linux, multiple Shield Pros as the client.

Delete the show on the Shield and the thumbnail remains in the display. The show has been deleted and is in the trash. Backing out of the Channels app and going back in causes the thumbnail to disappear. This is not an issue with the server but an issue with the Shield client. My client is currently v2025.07.24.0427; it has not yet updated itself to v2025.07.25.2049.

Well, I've been on Stable Version = 4.9.3 since its release and the problem is still present. The thumbnail of deleted shows remains in the display of recorded shows until you back out of the Channels client on the Shield Pro and re-enter. Are others still seeing this. Is this acknowledged as a bug by the dev's.

I am seeing it, too, on CCwGTV. Dev's are looking for more info:

Here was one from this morning: 09742107-61b4-449e-bf4a-24c466bda8dc

And here's one from last night: e1babaff-b4d1-4d11-b611-f0ed4560c9d6

I just deleted a News recording and the thumbnail remains. I've generated and submitted a diagnostic log:

f2de5049-a7d6-4ec9-94c7-658fa15dff25

But this log was generated from the DVR server and maybe does not reflect a problem with the client? Can I generate/submit a diagnostic from the client?

Settings :arrow_right: Support :arrow_right: Submit Diagnostics

This won't give you the code as above, though. You need to either check the client logs or get them from the server logs (search for "diagnostic"). Or just email support and they can generally figure out which one is yours.

Thanks. I'll do that after I delete the next recording.

This has been happening for years for me on various Google TV devices.

Are there any updates on this? Seems to be easily reproduced on various android clients.

I still see this issue, or one quite similar, pop up from time to time on my AppleTVs. Here was the thread I started about it last year, with replies from the devs:

Any ETA on a fix for this? WAF has been dropping rapidly...

Please try this latest beta for the fix.

My Shield generally downloads a new client beta automatically, a day or two after release. Any way to manually trigger it to update on demand?

Edit: My Shields updated to the new client beta. All is well again with deleted-show icons disappearing as they should.

Than you, dev's

This fix will be released to the store and available for release shortly.
