Is it possible for me to delete my current server (on a shield) and deploy it on a VPS ? My home internet isn't great and I watch a lot remotely, so this would give me the bandwidth I need.
What kind of stats (min) would I need on a vps?

If I remember correctly, hosting channels DVR will not work due to the IP address of the host being blocked by most content providers. This also applied to PlayOn as well.

if that's not an issue for me, do you have any thoughts on the minimum specs to get smooth playback?
Search the forum for VPS, recommendation from the developers is don't do it. Cost, performance, etc
