Deleting show from web UI does not delete files in DVR directory

I recorded two shows. Then I navigated in the Web UI to one episode and chose delete. The log shows file being deleted and was deleted from DVR drive.

Next I went to second recording, but not at the episode level, but the show level. I choose delete all shows. The show was removed from the Web UI, but the logs did not indicate a delete request and the file still exists in the DVR directory. I had to manually delete it.

Deletes happen in the background… if your DVR was busy doing comskip or other processing, the deletes might be delayed. They should happen eventually and you should see the “Deleting file” message in the logs.

Ok. Just saw some behavior like this. If I recorded three shows.

  1. Delete the first show by episode. Delete immediately.
  2. Delete the second show by show menu delete all recordings. Does not delete immediately.
  3. Delete the third show like I did the first. The third show and second show are deleted immediately.
