UPDATE:
Now working with = sign in password.
But I did do it a little different:
. Tried Directv Stream 3 times, did not authorize.
. Deleted Directv Stream source
. Updated to latest Pre-Release (Note: I did NOT re-try Directv Stream at this point, might have auth'ed??)
. Started nbc.com in Chrome using new logon with a live channel playing
. Added new source using CDVR GUI in Chrome, but with DirecTV, not Directv Stream
. Accepted, all channels auth'ed
. My old Channel Collections based on Directv Stream still work fine, same Ch#'s so expected.
...
I had to change my Directv Stream password, it previously was only letters and numbers.
The Directv Stream update password page now REQUIRES at least one special character,
It lists a string and all appear to be the Shift on the number keys, ! @ # etc.
I wanted to avoid those Shift keys !@# etc because i tried !@ yesterday in CDVR and i got locked out,
so tried the dash - (no shift) today and DTV stream did not accept the dash on the change PW site,
It did not take the Dash but did accept the = sign (No shift).
I wonder if this is part of the recent trouble with login on DTV stream.
.
Further reading seems to say the Underscore _ would work, can anyone confirm??
.
That source is currently Disabled so it does not try to update the Guide and put me in a Lockout again.
Before I try to "Update Password" in that Source and wind up getting Locked out again
.. should I delete and re-add that Source from scratch.?
. and should I update to the latest Windows pre-release?
Can the devs somehow make sure the = sign or the Underscore _ can pass muster?
Thanks for any guidence.
