DirecTV - Cable provider authentication failed - Aug 2025

Currently getting Cable provider authentication failed on all TVE channels using DirecTV. I can visit the sites directly and play live TV though.

Saw this same behavior on my test server and a DTV box the other day. It should clear up itself.

Run troubleshooter verifying all green.
Update to prerelease.
Rescan or readd source. If it doesn’t authenticate, wait a couple of hours and rescan.
IMO, I feel this is due to DTV'S implementation of the ESPN/Disney/Hulu rollout!!!

Still having this same issue here. I have continued to try re-adding the DirecTV Stream source yesterday and today with the same error, so it hasn’t cleared itself up yet for me.

I updated to the 9/4 pre-release and also to the 9/8 pre-release a few minutes ago. Both still have the same issue, with essentially the same log output as the OP.

Try using the DirecTV source instead of DirecTV Stream source

Just tried DirecTV instead of DirecTV Stream source and the same issue exists.
