The chrome profile is locked after update I might need to implement a fix or figure out something

Issue: After updating the container, noVNC showed Ubuntu logo then black screen. Chrome kept
crashing with exit code 21.

Cause: Chrome profile lock files from the old container were left behind in the mounted
volume. The new container couldn't start Chrome because it thought another process was using
the profile.

Error in logs:
The profile appears to be in use by another Google Chrome process (14) on another computer
(876973fe2acd). Chrome has locked the profile so that it doesn't get corrupted.

Fix:
rm -f /root/chrome-profile/SingletonLock /root/chrome-profile/SingletonCookie
/root/chrome-profile/SingletonSocket
docker restart dvr-tuner

Replace /root/chrome-profile with wherever your Chrome profile volume is mounted.

Yea its loading the epg let it load before getting the m3u look at the gui and status u should see that updated with total channel numbers then when that's done you can get the m3u

Your container is running an older version of the code. The error loginStatus is not
defined happens because you have a stale image cached.

Fix:

  1. Pull the latest image:
    docker pull sunnyside1/directvtuner:latest
  2. Recreate the container - stop and remove the old one, then start fresh with the new image.

If using TrueNAS SCALE Apps UI:

  1. Stop the app
  2. Go to Apps → Manage Docker Images
  3. Find and delete the sunnyside1/directvtuner image
  4. Start the app again (it will pull the fresh image)

TrueNAS sometimes caches Docker layers aggressively, so deleting the image forces a clean
pull.
