Do Antenna signal issues default to TVE?

I noticed in my iPad that if my Antenna has issues it will default to the TVE stream available. Is this by design? Doesn't seem to work on Android or all stations.

Yes this is part of the new tuning framework that is on iOS/tvOS. It is being ported over to Android next.

Thanks it’s working well, I’m having Antenna issues. It seems to be working on Fox, but not for NBC. Is there anything I can do?

@tmm1 this sounds great! Does this happen regardless of tuner type? Meaning, if any higher priority tuner has a degraded signal, it will move to the next tuner down?

Does this also apply to recordings ... it appears to be only when Viewing LiveTV ?

I believe the DVR software already tries secondary sources if the first one fails to tune (at all).
