Perhaps a bit off-topic for Channels' forums, but I figured this is the best place I know to ask: Does one have to have an Amazon Prime account to use a FireTV device?
You do NOT need a PRIME subscription to actually use a Fire TV device. You can still access all of the other non-Amazon related apps with just an internet connection, and free (non-Prime) Amazon content as well. A more interesting follow-up question: do you need to have an Amazon account at all to use a Fire TV device? Me thinks yes on that one.
