hello, are existing tve sources rescanned automatically every X days or weeks to discover new channels or is this always a manual process?
TVE sources are scanned once when it is added. If a channel cannot be tuned because it needs a reauthorization—such as a cookie expiring—Channels will reauthorize it.
But if a channel did not successfully scan when the source was first added, it will not be automatically rescanned. Or if new TVE channels were added that previously Channels did not support, those will not be automatically scanned. In those situations, you need to manually rescan the channel by editing the source (for the former), or by Scan New Channels (for the latter). Regardless, those steps are user-initiated; Channels won't do it automatically.
