Doesn't save where I am at in the Timeline

I record a few things manually from my HDMI encoder. I have two of them and I have to dummy channels set for an hour. When I get to about half in the timeline or more and hit done it thinks I got through the entire thing and the progress bar goes to the very end and then I loose my spot. The only way around this is I have been going to control center and screenshotting my place in the timeline so that I can remember where I left off. Is there a way around this? I remembered submitting something like this before but can't seem to find it. But I feel like there isn't a fix but I just wish you could turn this off. It also happens to show that get recorded from my HDHomeRun and TVE recordings.

Thanks for the help!

I found the conversation I just wish there was a setting to be able to turn this off. This would take away my frustration to this issue going away.

Recording manually meaning not via a pass or guide data? Via the API or olive-tin?

Just selecting on a “HDMI @ 1 PM” and manually recording that channel. Say for instance I recorded something for 4 hours and only got an hour and half in and when I select done it immediately thinks I have finished through the 4 hours.

So you're adding 3 hours of padding? That's probably why it thinks you're done and marks it as watched.

You could adjust your M3U to make the guide blocks longer.

That makes total since. I never thought about that. Thanks!
