Dog barks at TV on Channels

weird one here and i think we’ve got it narrowed down to the channels app. but looking for anything that might save our sanity.

apple tv / sony x90j / sonos arc (5.1) all via hdmi

when selecting a channel, or rewinding/fast forwarding, our dog barks at the tv when the channel takes a second to play.

it’s very likely a sound coming through that’s inaudible to humans.

realize this is probably super edge case, but any ideas?

thanks for the constructive feedback.

I think this may be outside the scope of what the Channels devs can help you with :joy:

Hmm, I'm thinking you could use a bat (ultrasonic) detector to at least test to see if that's the cause: Amazon.com: Eight Innovation EBD2766 Eight Build Complete Construction Kit to Create Your Own Fully Functioning Bat Detector, One Size, for 14 and Above, 1 Pieces : Video Games

Try unplugging the Sonos power. If he still barks show the wife and explain why you need a new LG Oled TV. Sony is so…..Walkman

Since a dog can hear frequencies up to 45kHz, this app on a iPhone would probably also work.

Of course you would have to find out what the microphone frequency response is for your particular iPhone model, or connect an external microphone having an appropriate frequency response for the measurement.
