There are a number of networks that do weekly recaps of the previously aired episode along with behind the scenes or extras that all get scheduled for recording as episode 0 because they’re identified as new episodes. Would it be an option to choose to ignore episode 0s in the pass setup window? “Only numbered episodes.” or something similar? It’s a waste of a tuner, storage writes, and resources for some. But, I get that others may desire to see these episodes, which leads me to making it configurable.
Hmm. You can probably go to the DVR web ui to the Passes list, and use the advanced editor to add a “EpisodeNumber GT 0” to your pass.

On your computer, click http://127.0.0.1:8089, find your pass under DVR > Passes, then use the advanced editor as so:
