On the iPad and iPhone, YouTube allows you to skip back or forward if you double tap the left side or right side of the screen.
I’d like to see this incorporated with Channels. Easy than tapping the screen, seeing the controls, and them tapping the skip back/ forward controls.
And you could even add triiple tap on the right side on the screen to skip the commercials.
Right now you can swipe left/right to jump back or forwards.

This behaviour appears to work when viewing “Live”, but not Recorded content.
Is this correct?
How would you skip forward during a Live show?
Skip forward into the future? 
Only after you have skipped back, then want to move forward up to “live”

Swipe gestures are part of the player and work on both recording and live playback.
