DSM 7 Fresh Install Error

Hello,

I was not able to load my guide and figured a fresh install would fix my problems. Unfortunately, it caused more. I'm on Synology DSM7. I uninstalled the old app. When I attempt to install the DSM7 package from the channels website I received the below:

Failed to install the package.
curl: (6) Could not resolve: getchannels.com (Timeout while contacting the DNS servers).

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a network issue. Can you SSH in to your device and successfully execute: ping -c 4 getchannels.com? If you cannot, that means you have some network issues between your NAS and the internet.

Sorry - not sure what SSH or how to execute the ping.

to add, my plex server is having no issue with remote access or local streaming which makes me think my internet on the NAS is fine. But, maybe not.

It's clearly a DNS issue as the error informed you. Try rebooting the NAS.

Got it fixed by correcting my IP gateway. Thanks to all.
