I'm sure this problem has been addressed, however, I cannot find an answer.
I have Spectrum and Directv as sources. Spectrum does not offer Turner Classic Movies in my TV package, but Directv does. TCM will show up as an option from Spectrum at times and other times it doesn't.
The same channels numbers have been assigned to my channels from both sources, so TCM is showing 6039. When I select that channel, it shows it is not available. The guide only shows one listing for this channel, not two as it should if both are available.
If I disable my Spectrum source, then I can watch TCM, so I'm guessing it then picks up the Directv listing.
I have changed the priority to show Directv has priority over Spectrum. If I enable Spectrum again, then any movies I selected to be recorded from TCM fail to record even though they could from Directv.
I'm sure this has something to do with both sources having the same channel number, but Channels only shows a Spectrum source (which isn't available) and nothing for Directv (unless Spectrum is disabled).
I could not find a way to change the channel numbers so there was not a conflict. It would seem that even though the channel numbers are the same, they are from different sources and should show two channels stacked instead of just one.
If there weren't channels on Spectrum that aren't available elsewhere, I would just leave it disabled but prefer not to have to do that.
No clue why Spectrum will sometimes show I have TCM (not part of my package) and other times it does not. I also thought that if there was more than one source for a program, the DVR would go to the next available source if the first was not available.
Any help or advise on how to fix this problem would be appreciated.
