Duplicate Channels Not Stacking

Hello,

I'm using IPTVBoss for creating my M3U's and EPG Data. It uses tv-chno instead of channel-id which populates correctly in the guide. I'm trying to setup backup channels so if the primary goes down, it will automatically failover to the backup channel. Reading a previous thread, it appears channel-id is required but if it isn't present, then tvg-name will be used instead. I have confirmed tvg-name is present in the M3U and I've used the same channel names for the backup (duplicates) but I'm not seeing it stacked in the Guide. I've tried enabling the option to stack duplicates based on Channel Number and Guide Data but it nets the same result. Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Stacking works across sources, ie if you had two hdhomeruns

I’m using 2 m3u sources. Should that work as well?

Hey there - just following up to see if this is supported with m3u sources? If so, the stacking isn’t working in my setup so any direction you could provide would be appreciated.

They must have the Same guide data or Same Channel Numbers.

Got it. They have the same guide data for sure. I tried with the same channel numbers but recall the result being only one of the channels being shown and not stacked. My guess is this is because of the fact they use tvg-chno instead of channel-I’d. I’ll try with the same number again and play around with stacking with guide date or channel number and report back.

Still no luck. The reason for setting this up was due to connection issues that I thought was related to my provider. However, after testing I found that channels is dropping the connections. Gong to open a separate thread on that to determine what may be causing it. Everything is rock solid in Emby but I prefer the user experience of channels by far.
