I've been using Channels DVR for about a week and have noticed that a few movies have been recorded twice. Is there any reason why this would happen? I just delete one of them when it happens, but wondering why.

You didn't state how you picked the movies for recording.
From a client, DVR web UI, on now, on later, search, upcoming movies, advanced pass, etc.
Also a possibility the duped movies were tagged with different id's from the guide provider making them look like different movies to Channels DVR.
I have no clue how I picked them. I pick from the web UI when I've got a few minutes to search for what's coming, and I sometimes pick them from the Guide on a client. I don't think the movies are tagged wrong because they are common movies like Despicable Me which is one that did it.
Only way I know of to force it to re-record a movie is by selecting "Mark as not recorded" when you see it in on now, guide, upcoming, etc. It will then let you re-record it or an advanced pass will then re-record it.
I'm definitely not doing any of that. I'll keep watching and see if I can get any clues. Its not a big deal to delete the extras.
