Duplicate recordings on Pluto Channels

I have noticed that with most of my PlutoTV recordings I'm getting a lot of duplicate recordings even though the show episode has the same title. Is there any way to avoid this. I find myself having to spend a lot of time pruning the repeats.

The Pluto guide is not marking them as the same episode. If you look at the episode number under the episode title, the episodes of iNevel have 2 different episode numbers: 2022030721 and 2022030809. Therefore, Channels believes them to be different episodes.

Channels can only identify them as the same episode if the guide data does, and the Pluto data does not.

The metadata for Nick on Pluto looks particularly bad. As an example, here's something from Paramount+ Selects:

Notice the episode title, season, episode number, and a specific description; along with no tags. Now looking at something on Nick on Pluto:

Here there are no season/episode numbers (instead a code that is basically year / month / day / order in day), no episode title, a generic description, and a "Live" tag. I checked on Pluto's website directly and it is the same there, so the problem is definitely on that side.

Without good metadata, there is not much Channels can do here. I was trying to think of some type of Advanced Pass you could pull off, but nothing great comes to mind. Your episodes of iCarly look better than the Sam & Cat example with at least having episode titles and unique descriptions, but that is not always the case. Here's an upcoming episode with nothing:

@maddox had done a tremendous job trying to pull season/episode numbers from what Pluto provides, but I don't see an automagic that could work here. I would be glad to be mistaken!
