Has anyone else seen the latest update from DVBLINK? They’ve announced an Appletv app coming that’s currently in beta. Just wondering if anyone has seen or had a play with it as from what I’ve seen the EPG/guide data looks horrendous from the screenshots
All spit, no polish. Looks worse than my TV’s build in Freeview guide.
Yeah the GUI does look terrible. I’ll be surprised if Apple approve it as I thought all Apple TV apps had to follow the general look and feel of the OS Uploading…
it really is a dog to look at, also i get green blocks on the screen while changing channels…but it does have a working dvr so kinda using it until channels bring something to the table
How’s the guide info and setting series links and stuff working? Is the guide accurate, do the series links actually stick to one channel? Do you need to schedule the recordings from a laptop or does it all work through the ATV4’s app? My Mrs records E4’s Hollyoaks at 7pm (I know, the shame), but the HDHR DVR backend seems to think the next days Channel 4 airing at 6:30pm (repeat) is a new episode and records that too. Does my head in.
Matt, can you test this for me, setting the E4 airing as a series link and see if it records the next day’s channel 4 airing please. It’ll be a temporary fix until Channels bring out their own DVR which they say should fix this issue, if it works.
Funnily enough that’s exactly the same preference I need to get sorted for the other half so I can scrap sky off
