SOLVED: uninstalled and reinstalled unRaid Plugin
I asked about recommended set ups late last evening and received a variety of great suggestions. Thanks to everyone! I decided on an Unraid set up (at least to test it out), but now I am stuck. Any ideas on where I went wrong?
- installed unraid on my old htpc with 2- 1 tb disk in parity
- signed up for the dvr beta and received an email from fancy bits.
- Installed the channels dvr app for unRaid as linked on the dvr beta page
- installed testflight on my apple tv. installed Channels ATV Beta for tvOS.
- restarted both the NAS and Appple tv multiple times
What is next? The apple tv does not seem to be communicating with the NAS. I can use the NAS GUI by navigating to 192.168.2.128 (DHCP, not static, .128 randomly assigned) and I can see the channels dvr folder in the network location on my PC. Did I miss a step?
The channels beta app I have installed seems to look exactly the same at the regular channels app, though the beta app includes a surround sound test in the settings.
regarding unraid- the documentation lead me to think I should be able to login in at //tower, but I am not able to do so. I must key in 192.168.2.128 on my chrome browser to reach the GUI
