I have been quite happy with Channels on my Apple TV since I “cut-the-cord” several months ago.
When the DVR functionality was made available, I went ahead and singed up.
During the trial period, it worked quite well.
However as I use Channels to watch local on-the-air channels (primarily the local new and Jeopardy), I find that $8.00 per month for the rare occasion that I might want to record something, to be too much.
Most of the “primetime” shows that get watched at my home, primarily by my sons, are available on Hulu the following day which we pay for already.
Fot OTA users only, I think that $3.00 per month is a fair price. At this price point, this could be local control only with no remote capabilities available as they do incur on-going infrastructure costs.
Great product though; just a bit too costly!
