DVR MacMini M1 stopped working

My channels DVR service decided to stop working. I tried to quit it via the installer and restart, it didn't happen. I decided to uninstall and re-install, it won't reinstall,

I'm running a Mac Mini M1, it's been flawless until now, but now I'm dead in the water.

I'm Stuck here

I deleted the entire app, restarted the M1 twice, reinstalled, and now it might be working. ugh, what the heck happened? I'm still waiting for a full channel scan again, and am not feeling good about this. seems like the past week or two on the two instances i pay for and manage there have been lots of problems with the mac server. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, i dunno. I know my server logs are probably gone now, but we needed to get it working again.

Okay, it’s all back online, but all my recordings are gone. I pointed it back to my recording folder…. But nothing. I though I had one called ‘DVR’ but it appears it’s just ‘channels’ the stuff is in there, how to I get it to show?

To get your recordings back, you need to restore the new Channels installation from one of the backups in the Database directory -- don't do a clean install. You shouldn't need to re-scan the channels when you restore from the backup.

Also, if you no longer have the backup, you can move the recordings to the import/tv folder and they will show up again.

I found a good backup and it restored everything. It had already started to create a new back up, so I just went back to earlier in the day and found ine which wasn’t missing anything
