My DVR server is up and running (up since yesterday at noon), but I cannot get any of my Apple TV devices running app version 3.0.1 to recognize the DVR. Everything worked fine before this update. My only options on the top bar are On Now, Guide, and Settings. I have tried restarting the Apple TV, killing the Channels app and reloading, and I verified through Bonjour browser that the DVR is broadcasting via Bonjour. I also unchecked and checked the Bonjour box in the Channels DVR settings.
What platform is the DVR on? How did you verify that Bonjour is broadcasting?
If the broadcast is active the Apple TV should be able to find it…
I’m running Windows 10. I used the Bonjour Browser app on an iOS device and could see _channels_dvr._tcp. in the list of services.
Any when you click into the DVR service it shows the windows machine with the correct ip?
On the DVR web ui under the Bonjour checkbox does it list one ip or multiple?
Also are there any errors in the Log tab?
The IP address matches the PC, however there are two IP addresses listed under the Bonjour check box. One begins with 192.168 (the IP of the computer), the other begins with 10.8, which I have no idea where this is coming from.
I figured out the problem. I was running a VPN. I shut down the VPN and it is working fine now.
