I’m not sure if this is currently supported, but how do I create a Pass that will either Record Only New Airings or Every Airing of a show?
Here’s what we have now:
Name: Shark Tank
Padding: 30 seconds before / 30 seconds after
Keep: All - Unwatched Only - Last 3 Only
Title =
Add or Cancel
Can you have it look something like this?
Name: Shark Tank
Padding: 30 seconds before / 30 seconds after
Series: New Only or All
Keep: All - Unwatched Only - Last 3 Only
Title =
Add or Cancel
Create passes either from the Apple TV, or by doing a search for a show on web UI and clicking Create Pass.
The Passes view uses an advanced rule editor which is not recommended and will be replaced during the beta with something more user-friendly.
I have been using the create new pass with great success, however would like to see a “not” condition. Hopefully, the “newer” user friendly methodology will be as full featured.
@MinistryOfMagic …currently you can add “Tags == New” (for only New), or don’t add Tags option (for all).
To add to this, it would be really helpful to have a season number field in the series pass. With most of the shows pretty far into the season now, and just getting up and running with the DVR there are a lot of not-new shows to catch up on, but only from the current season.
At the moment you can create a pass, then edit it to add a condition like “SeasonNumber > 6” to record all episodes of season 7 and beyond.
