I have had multiple recordings over the years from the NFL Network that the file size on my Synology Nas is like 39 GB in size but the duration channelsDVR shows is only 25 minutes? The file stops playing at 25 minutes. If I play it through VLC the file is 4 hours long but I lose the ability to skip, forward, etc. It only seems to be happening on the NFL channel? Just wondering if anyone else has any other issues. I use an HD HomeRun prime with frontier cable card. Cheers!
Have you tried re-indexing ? I am on XFINITY my NFL network does not have that problem.
If I read your post correctly, these are DVD rips. How were they ripped? Are they multiple VOB files, or a single MPEG? If it's the former, Channels might only be playing the first VOB file, and then the subsequent VOBs don't play.
Of course, this is just a guess.
