Dvr server keeps crashing

I started having issues today with the DVR server crashing. I was using the sept 26 build of the server, but was able to upgrade to the October 6 build eventually.

I can watch a recorded show for about 3 minutes, and then the server crashes. I tried rebooting the computer (Mac mini), but that didn’t solve the issue either.

It’s become so unreliable that I can’t use the channels app on any device (iOS and TVOS devices).

I submitted the logs once the server was up long enough to generate them.

And clues to help resolve this?

Hmm... it also seems that now my Mac mini is having kernel panics. Didn’t realize as it’s headless. Reinstalling the OS after zapping the zpram and resetting the smc.

Ugh.

So was it the computer that was rebooting this whole time, or was it just Channels DVR Server?

It appears it was the computer. I reinstalled the OS and it’s been stable for 11 hours. Not sure what happened with macOS, but at least it’s working. Usually it’s Rock solid.

Might want to run some kind of system test to look for failing memory, hdd, etc.
