After updating macOS (and a reboot) the DVR service is no longer running. I can run channels-dvr from terminal, which starts the service, but the service is unable to restart itself, for example when there is an upgrade.
The command I’m running to launch the service:
(./channels-dvr/latest/channels-dvr &)
That is not the correct way to run the DVR and will cause all sorts of problems. Running it like that creates a separate settings.db and recorder.db in your home directory instead of using the ones from the official install.
Please run the setup utility on our site to uninstall and reinstall the DVR software, and then visit http://127.0.0.1:8089/restore to import your existing data.
