You need to check your TCP/IP settings. Make sure your DNS is set correctly .

DNS settings on all my systems point to the router at 192.168.0.1 which use 8.8.8.8, and 8.8.4.4
Work for everything else.

130 david@alcatraz:~/channels-dvr⟫ nslookup channels-dvr.s3.amazonaws.com
Server: 127.0.0.53
Address: 127.0.0.53#53

Non-authoritative answer:
channels-dvr.s3.amazonaws.com canonical name = s3-1-w.amazonaws.com.

odd, you are correct my resolv.conf for some reason has 127.0.0.53.

looking into that.
