Throw this in the “nice to have” category. Display the available DVR space on the ATV - perhaps in the recordings or settings areas. I know this can be viewed on the web UI, but the rest of my family only use the ATV.
+1. i think that’s a good idea. i’ve wondered about this and forgot to ask in the forum.
I would say that I love the web ui because it’s so easy to search and schedule with a keyboard while sitting in front of the tv even ( at least till the iOS app gets updated)
But I can’t tell anyone in the house about it because it was designed to look so slick and do everything easily, and make initial setup a snap, that it’s dangerous if my kids saw it and started clicking around on the settings page because I would strangle them. I don’t really need strong authentication on the page, but anything on the TVOS that would help someone understand that the DVR is full would be good.
I like the idea of right at the top of the DVR tab saying “about x hours of recording left”. That would mean more to regular people than disk space.
